Gussa Mat Piyo, Rage Piyo: How a Marketing Agency in Delhi Turned Everyday Anger Into a Coffee Brand’s Anthem

Every brand wants a campaign people remember. Very few get a line people actually say. Every brand wants a campaign people remember. Very few get a line people actually say. When Rage Coffee, one of India’s fastest growing D2C coffee brands, came to Revamp, a full service marketing agency in Delhi, the brief was exactly that ambitious: don’t give us a content calendar, give us a brand world.

What followed was Gussa Mat Piyo, Rage Piyo, which translates to “don’t drink your anger, drink Rage”. It was a Hindi anthem campaign that reached 3.65 million accounts in its launch month, put a brand film past 1.19 million views, brought in 14,780 new followers, and lifted the client’s online store orders by 97% month on month.

Here’s how we did it.

The Brief: A Great Product Stuck at a 3K Ceiling

Rage Coffee had everything a challenger brand needs: a bold name, a loyal customer base and a genuinely differentiated product. What it didn’t have was momentum on social. Typical posts on the brand’s Instagram sat between 2,000 and 4,000 views, and the feed read like a collection of product shots rather than a point of view.

As a digital marketing agency in Delhi that works primarily with D2C and consumer brands, we’ve seen this pattern often: the brand is interesting, but the content isn’t built around one repeatable idea. Our job was to find that idea and build everything around it, from creative and influencers to moment marketing and media.

The Insight: India Runs on Gussa

The insight came from the streets of Delhi NCR, not a brainstorm room. Traffic. Mondays. Matches that slip away in the last over. Bosses who text “we need to talk.” Indians don’t lack energy. We just lack somewhere to put it.

So we gave that energy a destination. Gussa mat piyo. Rage piyo. Don’t swallow your anger, pour a Rage instead. One line that worked as a caption, a hook, a comeback and, most importantly, a song.

What We Built: An Anthem, a GOAT and a World

Rather than a single ad, we designed a campaign system with three phases (Ignite, Spread and Compound) and a set of brand codes that could repeat across every format: the anthem, the GOAT mascot, and a red and black visual identity that made the feed instantly recognisable.

Phase 1: Ignite With “Something Is Brewing”

We opened with mystery instead of a product shot. A teaser arc titled “Something Is Brewing at Rage Coffee” ran as breaking news style reels: a flag unfurled over the city skyline (142K views, 59 shares) and a protest placard film (63.5K views) that had people guessing before a single pack appeared on screen.

Then came the reveal. The anthem film, captioned “India ka naya anthem is here”, launched the Gussa Mat Piyo Rage Piyo track in under a minute of screen time. Supported by a precisely timed boost, it crossed 1.19 million views with 10,000+ likes and drove hundreds of profile visits on its own. It remains the biggest post in the brand’s history.

Phase 2: Spread Through Moments and Creators

With the anthem live, we took it everywhere India’s attention already was.

  • HYROX Delhi. We built a fitness arc around India’s fastest growing race format: a countdown reel that crossed 170K views, a creator training series shot at a Noida gym, and a film from the event floor that became the account’s most efficient follower converter, adding 85 new follows from just 12.7K views, twelve times the programme average.
  • Influencer collaborations. As an influencer marketing agency in Delhi, we picked creators for retention, not vanity metrics. A collab reel with a popular sister duo held 57% of viewers past the hook, averaged 12 seconds of watch time, and climbed past 74K views fully organically. Across four creator assets, the programme delivered 263K views and 446K accounts touched.
  • Surgical paid media. Instead of blanket boosting, we ran targeted pushes only where they multiplied organic heat, including a reach campaign in the days before the event that put creator content in front of 199,000 accounts at ₹1.39 per thousand reached.
  • Topical content. World Cup and pop culture moment marketing kept the brand in every conversation between the big beats.

Phase 3: Compound With Formats That Kept Working

Recurring slots turned spikes into a system: Monday Rage drops, recipe Wednesdays, memes fronted by the GOAT, and relatable carousels like “100 Reasons Gussa Hone Ke” (22K+ views). These formats outperformed standard product posts several times over and gave followers a reason to come back on schedule.

The Results: One Launch Month, By the Numbers

In the 30 days around launch, the campaign delivered:

  • 65 million accounts reached, 17 times the brand’s follower base
  • 45 million views, with 96.4% coming from people who did not already follow the brand
  • 14,780 new follows and 24,000+ interactions
  • Six posts past 50K views and one past a million, against an earlier baseline of 2K to 4K
  • 28,400+ profile visits in a single month

And because a social campaign should sell, not just trend, the brand’s online store moved with it: sessions up 102%, orders up 97%, returning customer rate up 44% and total sales up 52% month on month.

What We Lined Up Next

A launch month is a beginning, not an ending. Before the campaign’s first phase closed, we had already designed its second act.

We built a Rage Music Contest around the official anthem audio, turning the track into a UGC engine with creator entries seeded across Delhi NCR. We assembled a roster of 30 to 40 nano and micro influencers, blending barter and paid collaborations across fitness, food and campus culture. We signed a campus partnership with SRCC’s Panache society: twelve member reels on the official audio, five star product reviews, a guaranteed follower floor, and “Powered By Rage Coffee” branding across their orientation. And we mapped a full festive season content calendar with KPI benchmarks for every format, so each post that followed had a number to beat.

Why It Worked

Looking back, four decisions made the difference. We committed to one line instead of twenty ideas. We built repeatable brand codes (the anthem, the GOAT, the red and black world) so every post compounded the last. We treated moment marketing as a channel, not a gimmick. And we used paid media surgically, amplifying only what was already winning organically.

That is the playbook we bring to every brand we work with, and it is why D2C founders looking for a social media marketing agency in Delhi keep finding their way to us.
